Terms of Service

Last updated: November 26, 2025

These Terms govern access to and use of Cadenza English (“we”, “us”, “our”) products, including the Cadenza English website, placement test, live cohort classes, Dojo packs, AI-powered tools, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false data or violate these Terms.
  • Notify us immediately at hello@cadenzaenglish.com if you suspect unauthorized access or security issues.

2. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellations

  • Paid plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. Pricing for each plan and add-on is displayed during checkout.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe or other authorized processors. You authorize us to charge the payment method on file.
  • You may cancel any time via the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing or plan features. If modifications affect your existing subscription, we will provide reasonable notice.

3. Refunds & Guarantees

Manage your subscription anytime—cancel before renewal to stop future charges while keeping access through the current cycle. Please contact hello@cadenzaenglish.com within the stated window if you believe you qualify for a refund. Refunds are not available for partially used periods after the guarantee window closes unless required by law.

4. Use of the Service

  • You agree to use the Service for lawful purposes, follow classroom guidelines, and respect fellow learners and coaches.
  • Recording live classes without express permission is prohibited. We may record sessions for quality control, safety, and coach review; attendance implies consent to be recorded.
  • Homework queues, coach feedback, and grading turnarounds follow the timelines published in the Dojo and on the dashboard (Homework feedback is targeted to land within 24 hours so momentum never stalls.).
  • We may remove content or limit access if behavior disrupts learning, violates intellectual property rights, or threatens community safety.

5. AI, Recordings & Coaching Materials

  • AI outputs (flashcards, feedback, speech scores) are assistive tools. Coaches review critical deliverables before issuing final feedback, but you are ultimately responsible for verifying accuracy.
  • We may use anonymized aggregates of submissions to refine prompts, rubrics, and AI detection systems.
  • Downloaded materials (slides, packs, recordings) are for your individual use. Do not share, redistribute, sell, or publish them without permission.

6. Intellectual Property

Cadenza English, the Dojo curriculum, logos, and associated content are owned by us or licensed to us. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties (e.g., Jitsi for live video, Stripe for billing, Azure Speech for pronunciation analytics, Google Tag Manager for analytics). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party products or content.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties to the extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We do not guarantee specific exam outcomes, job placements, or language proficiency improvements. Progress depends on personal effort and practice time.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cadenza English and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Total liability is limited to the amount paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access with or without notice if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or pose a risk to other learners. You may terminate your account anytime via settings or by emailing hello@cadenzaenglish.com. Upon termination, certain provisions (intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnity, limitation of liability) survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Cadenza English is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our offerings, legal requirements, or business operations. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
